Heart

I am 37 and have been bulimic since age 11. I stopped for 5 years and started again 1 year ago. Now I'm having heart problems and stopping has been easier because I'm so weak all the time. I've told my cardiologist about the bulimia and he doesn't seem concerned. Could these things be connected?

Good for you to have stopped the vomiting behavior.  Bulimia does cause cardia arrest - sudden death. Eating disorders can be linked to heart problems.  The important things are that you are not purging and you are under a cardiologist care.  Best, Dr Patricia Pitts  The Bella Vita - Los Angeles

definitely- although sometimes it is the esophagus (but it could feel like the heart)
A lot of different things can happen to your heart from bulimia, with the worst causing you to have sudden cardiac arrest.
