My friend has been diagnosed with anorexia. She is fifteen and eats less than 500 calories a day. Getting changed for PE her stomach is concave and her ribs stick out. I'm really worried about her and want to know if there's anything I can do to help her get better. Please help!

It must be difficult on you to see a dear friend struggling and looking emaciated.  Be loving, kind and patient with her.  Know this is her own battle one she'll need to work through just like you can only manage and deal with your own emotions and issues.
Being anorexic and eating only 500 calories per day, it would not be recommended that she would not exercise.  She may need to be in an intensive treatment program.  If you are concerned, you could speak with your parents and the school counselors.  They can help direct additional treatment.  You could visit the bella vita website to learn more about anorexia and treatment options.  Best, Dr Patricia Pitts, PhD  The Bella Vita Eating Disorder Treatment  Los Angeles, CA

This is sad.. your friend seems to be naive. she hazards her life by thinking she is to fat or somethings like that must be the reason. so anorexia is a mental disorder. it's not like you give her a burger and the problem is gone. she has to accept her body and see her faults. she is too thin. but maybe she thinks she is still fat. the only thing that you can do in this situaion is to give her a bit support, like going out with her but also taking her to the therapys. only doctors and specialists can help her. at the moment she seems to have a disturbed attitude to life.
I want you to know, that single you can't do anything!
But she also needs you, show her that even thugh she's abnormal you still love her and respect her as a person. don't act different to the time before the diagnose!
I know what I'm talking about.. I was anorexic, too.
Good luck
