With a history of low body weight and 10 years on and off of vomiting, you could have an eating disorder.  Even if feeling healthy and happy, vomiting takes a toll on your body.  In addition, eating disorders being genetic, form of coping and culturally influenced could be past down to your children.  By seeking medical attention and psychological support, you can get help to cease the vomiting behavior and the underlying issues.  For you and your children, I encourage you to seek treatment.  For more information on eating disorders:  anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder visit the bella vita website.  While you are there, take our female survey on eating disorders.  Best, Dr Patricia Pitts  Los Angeles CA

By making yourself sick, do you mean making yourself purge? If that is the case, then no, that is not "normal." Seeing as how you were underweight before and you "had a problem before," it could be very easy for you to go back to those tendencies. Have you talked to any doctors about this?
