What difference has your weight loss made to your life?It sounds to me that you look pretty good! Why not try and join a class such as bellydancing, Pilates or Yoga and congratulate yourself and your body with lots of movement and breathing. Exercise can give you a feeling of being in control of your body through increased awareness and helps balance your appetite and digestion. I used to be bulimic and I believe that bellydancing helped me a lot. I think that the movements can have a positive, soothing feeling on the stomach area, while celebrating your curves and femininity!. In my opinion, and please check with a health professional, if you make yourself sick you lose a lot of precious fluids from your body, that water cannot replace. Water used to make me feel more boated and my face looked swollen. Becoming more independent as a person really helped me increase my self esteem and control over my life. I agree about getting professional help too.
Dear kananj,
Your “feeling bad” after eating even healthy food is not about the food. Your recent focus on losing weight appears to be taking you to extreme measures, even purging.
The real focus & question is what is bothering you? What feeling and thoughts are upsetting you? Focus more on the emotional issues to resolve your eating issues.
Keeping a journal, talking to friends, practice connecting with your breathing, walking, etc are ways to cope with your feelings vs. trying to get food, weight or appearance to make you feel better.
