Being is such torment and tumoil is telling you that you need to do something.  In order to move out of conflict into harmony and peace, truth is the answer.  Truth does indeed set people free.  Being honest with yourself and those you trust is the first step.  Then seeking help to deal directly with the eating disorder is next.  To learn more about bulimia and treatment options, visit the bella vita website.  Best, Dr Patricia Pitts  Los Angeles, CA

As a recovered anorexic/bulimic I understand what you're talking about. The thing is that eating disorders take away what you want. You want friends, good grades, a life, etc but you can't have all of those if you continue with this disorder. It took a lot of things from me before I said NO MORE. There comes a time in a sufferers life where he/she has to say enough is enough and just tough it out. There will be a lot of hard times in trying to recover. I know, it took me 6 months of 'trying' to recover before I stopped doing my behaviors. I am on my 14month and there are still some days when I struggle but I would rather be here than where I was. Do you have someone you can talk to? A teacher, counselor, school nurse? That would be a good start.
