What should I do?

I've been taking medication prescribed to me by my therapist, but since I've started taking it, I've noticed a change in my eating habits.  I've been eating less and less each day because every time I look, or think or food, I feel sick.

I'm not really a 'fat' person, but I am on the huskier side, and big boned.

I used to binge frequently, but stopped several months ago.

Do you think it's the medication that's causing the eating problems, or should I be concerned about anorexia?

May I ask what medication it is? It really depends on the medication because some can cause changes in eating habits. Really, you need to discuss this with your therapist though. It's something you all need to work out. There's only so much anyone else can do or answer for you.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Dear westmem-ag,

Have you spoken directly with the professional prescribing your medication?  Medications can cause side certain side effects of which you speak.  I would first look at how the medications could be affecting you.  There may need to be some medication adjustments.

Due to your history of bingeing, you may want to visit the bella vita website and take our eating disorder questionnaire.  While you are at our site you may want o read about
eating disorders.

Best,
