.25 mg of xanax and drinking

I know you are not supposed to drink on xanax and its new years I took a xanax at 5:30 and its 7:45 now I took one shot and said to myself I'll wait till later to drink more until the xanax wears off  and I can usually down 10-12 shots of vodka and not get hung over after one shot I felt buzzed so I think its safe to say I should wait till about 10:30 - 11:00 to start drinking is it dangerous to even have one shot while on xanax?? I know it has a short half life and I am defdinately not gonna drink until I know the xanax has worn off

Never mix benzodiazepines with alcohol, no matter the dose, and no matter the amount.  Just a bad idea all around.  If you are planning on having a drink or two, skip the Xanax.  If you feel you need the Xanax, then skip the alcohol.

Also, just FYI, alcohol (especially when consumed to excess) will exacerbate anxiety something terribly.  Anxiety and alcohol are a bad mix.

.25 Xanax is  not heavy. But don't play around like that. You take a benzo you drop alcohol. it doesn't mean it's the last drink you'll have.

Call your pharmacist if they are open or perhaps a hospital will help if you phone them. I wouldn't touch alcohol on any meds because I don't see the purpose.
