Have you tried AA....before you decide to die go to 90 meetings in 90 days and see how you feel.   No matter what drug you try to not drink or drug you will become addicted to.  Get medical help off the drug and AA to deal with why you use/abuse.  There is hope if you want it.

I agree the dosage you are on is very high. You can beat this addiction put your mind to it. I agree with persephonedemeter. Find help to tapper off it. I have seen a lot of addiction in my family and with friends. It is great you admit you have an addiction that is an amazing first step. Don't say u want to die either. Deep down you want to live and get better. That's why you made this post and admitted you have an addiction. With the proper help you can get better I promise.
My uncle was an addict to meth and prescription pills. My whole family thought he would be dead within 5 years. I mean I can't explain how bad he was. If I did everybody would roll their eyes and not believe me. He had to go to rehab 3 times see doctors and get family help to finally beat his addiction. Find and help and keep living bud.

I am sorry to say that there is no way you can get off ativan safely from that dose without an experienced doctor's supervision. You need a doctor who knows how to slowly lower your dose and watch and give you physical and emotional support, day by day. You may need to be in a rehab facililty to do this properly. Even though the ativan doesn't work, it just means you build up a tolerance to it, and the dose you are on right is incredibly high. Getting off the ativan is going to be very hard by yourself, and there are alot of problems you and whoever is your support, if you have any, could face going through coming off the ativan.

I would check around and see if you can get into a sympathetic hospital or clinic that sees people with addiction. That really is the only way. Check out the Addiction forum.

I wish you well, Pikut. It is very possilbe to get off the Ativan, but you need to have really good medical supervision and support in order to do so.
