I have been panic free for 8 months (knock on wood) I did CBT, really good, as for the zoloft, I have open journal here and I talk about it, but basically my first round with Panic attacks, I would not take zoloft (waited 2 yrs) then finally took it, zoloft gave me my life back and helped me to get off xanax (real easy). but then this go around, I tried zoloft and it did the same things as you say it did to you, so I said, NO and stopped at day 5 or 6 also.
CBT is great! it has done wonders for me! take a look at my open journals, I talk only about my Anxiety and Panic and my meds. you will get through this and be fine, I promise you, it just takes work, work work to reprogram your mind, that all your body is feeling is FEAR, so it reacts, which starts the cycle of panic, then more fear.
hiya....he started me on 50mg then when i started feeling like this he halved the dose to 25mg..... but i've stopped taking it because i found i developed very weak legs and stiff back, i was in pain while walking and my toes were going numb, with pins and needles.
When i told the doc about this he may as well of laughed in my face, cause he said that it's not the drug it's my anxiety and blamed it on hyperventilation.... stupid arse. I told him that each day that goes by it feels like when you slowly tighten a guitar string, it gets more sensitive to the touch... so he told me to stop taking it for a couple of days to humour me, then the next day the feelings started to subside, by the end of the day i had alot more strength back in my legs, my back had loosened and the feeling of agitation had died down also.
I still feel anxious and panicky but at least i don't have this added to my list. I'm now looking at other alternative therapies like hypnotherapy, accupuncture, meditation etc.....
Hope your well.... chat soon xx
yes zoloft can make you feel that way, but I wish Doctors would stop putting that into peoples heads, actually it feels more like drinking to much coke and jittery, just remember them feelings are from the medication, but in time it will get better, what dose did he start you on??
