if it helps i was diagnosed by an allergist as being sugar sensitive about 12 years ago, my symptoms where depression, constant sore throats, eyes that felt like they had sand in them, total state of tiredness and the feeling that i felt drugged. i had candida of the colon and changed my diet completely. I now lead a full life and have boundless energy, i do not have any refined sugar at all, even creams for the face and medicines are vetted, although these days luckily i rarely take any medication at all. i eat a really healthy diet and everything that i eat is fresh apart from a very few processed items that do not have any additives, e numbers or any form of sugar added, it can be difficult eating out and i am careful to question restaurants regarding ingredients. i am 51 ride a bike everyday and am the fittest that i have ever been, i feel i a getting younger not older, sounds strange i know, but being sugar sensitive is a blessing not a curse
Sugar like caffeine can make anxiety worse, with caffeine being a stimulant and some people are more sensitive to sugar. But with your symptoms I would have your blood sugar levels checked. You want to rule out all other causes for your symptoms first, and this is one area I'd look. Stay with us, I'm sure you will get a lot of responses to this. It's an excellent question! Take care.
