Hi  Yellow, I had to go through the same when i stopped taking Paxil (Seroxat). I stopped cold Turkey and it started the symptoms 24/7. This is common with many people trying to get off paxil "www.paxilprogress.org". What saved me is that my doctor recommended Lexotanil which immediately
helped reduce the anxiety and all the other symptoms. When you feel confident your health is better, you can sstart Tapering Lexotonil very carefully until you are off it. Reduce the dose very slowly "extremely slowly" so you dont suffer its withdrawl symptoms. I reduced my 3mg dose and went off the med in a year. I am not using meds now. I still have minor anxiety all day but its tolerable.

hi i have had anxiety problems since i was 13. i started taking paxil and it did great for years. i switched to prozac because my mom didnt want me on paxil any longer because it was said to cause suicidal thoughts in kids. after 3 weeks of prozac i felt terrible. burning skin sensation, shaky feeling, bad nausea to where i couldn't eat unless i forced myself, my throat got swollen and my tonsils where touching and sore, couldn't sleep but felt so tired and wound up at the same time, severe diarrhea like every hour for days and days, heart is racing, feel light headed, and i am scared to be alone because i feel so aweful and not myself. anyways.. my dr. took me off prozac because she said it could just be a allergic type of reaction to prozac since it gets in your system faster and put me back on paxil. i was fine after 3 days on paxil and was fine for one week and now all my symptoms are back again but a little worse this time. anyone have something similar? i feel like im going to go crazy if i dont start feeling better soon. my anxiety last all day every day and has been this way for about 4 days so far. i have wanted to go to the hospital but i keep telling myself it will get better and there is nothing the hospital can do.

i create physical symptoms out of nothing, it's so scary...i am a hypochondriac to the extreme and have been for years. i have a tremendous fear of seizures and i have no idea why. i have never had one and have no history of them whatsoever. the doctor i go to has known me for years and says it's just anxiety and i cannot just suffer from a seizure randomly. it creates physical symptoms though such as wishy washy feelings in my head, tense/shaky muscles, nervous all the time, pressure in my head, etc. is that anxiety??

Fibromyalgia causes all your symptoms including anxiety and depression.  Talk it over with your doctor.  Cymbalta, Lyrica and other well known SSRIS can help.

I am going to go to the doctor today. I believe I have anxiety. im always worring and being stressed. All started when I got Ovarian cysts. I just have stressed and worried it was worse, and now I am getting chest pains, and it's all like hurts and it tingly and all. I need to know though, how long does one have to take the medicine before it starts working? And how long must the treatment be? And Please also tell me is this medicine something I will have to be on for life? I hope not. I just want the old careless, free spirited person back again. :(

I honestly think that all these problems that we have, really cannot be anxiety.. I think we all have a modern disease thats not descovered yet..I feel all numb and cold right now..

Hi,
I can completely relate to what your going through, I have been a smoker for 30 years.  I have bad chest pains all the time, bad heart palps, short of breath, always feel tensed.  Always felt like I was having a heart attack non stop, I wake up with a pounding heart, go to sleep with a pounding heart.  Visit a cardiologist, did the stress test, heart cath, ultrasound, heart echo, 24 hour heart monitor, all my test results were normal, cardiologist said I have a heart of an athelete at 45 years old.  I've even had my chest X-ray'd 50 times, chest CT scan all clear, test were performed within the past 3 months.  Did a pulmonary function test, blew out all 10 candles, after smoking 30 years, that's amazing, lung function normal.  I've had an upper GI, returned normal.

After all the tests were performed, I was diagnosed with chronic anxiety/stress.  It's amazing how painful chest pains can be with anxiety.

If you would like to try a natural way, what seemed to help with my symptoms is Chamomile tea, in small qauntity, you can get it almost anywhere.  Too much tea, makes me relax too much and makes me real sleepy, but once I drink alittle bit of tea, my chest pains go away.

I'm in the same boat you are. It really is hard to believe all the symptoms that anxiety causes. I went to a cardio myself just because I just couldn't believe all this chest pain was caused by anxiety. I also have some Ativan that I take when I need it and it does help, but I've heard so many horror stories about people coming off it, that I don't take it very much.
I do know that in the last couple of months I have felt better. I wish I could tell you why, but I can tell you that the longer the periods of little to no stress, the less my chest hurts. I started keeping myself hydrated and that seems to have helped the heart palpitations which in turn helped the anxiety.
I hope you feel better!! Love...

hey waylander am so sorry your going through this like so many of us, you have joined the club of not beliving this can be from just anxiety, man i have had it on and off for years and it comes and goes in different forms, mine is most the ears/face tingles. weak/sick stomack. feel like i need to run. just dont feel good. i have not had the chest pain but i know so many that do. i was it in really bad in march this year and could not pull out so i went to med first got some klonopin and took it 2 weeks what a differences it made i came off of it and take ativan only when needed. have you tried meds? hang in ther it will get better but i to had it for 4 months day in and day out i though it would never get better and that my life was going to be in my house stressing , but am out and doing good . so hang in there .
