Pains in my neck and chest

Am new to this site, and am feeling very alone at the moment went to the doctor about 9 months ago off and on with lots of different ailments, he decided to run some tests, bloods thyroid, chest xray etc, he concluded thata I sufferered with anxiety and panic attacks, so put me me on amytripilene. I know I have always been ana axious caracter, even as a child I was alyays convinced I was dying, but the symptoms range from weeks of diziness like seahorsing, then shooting pains here there and everywhere, and on and off chest pains, I have had pins and needles, evereywhere, I ma just so sick of feeling crappy, went on a course a couple of weeks back to restart my career, as I have been at home not working for the past 7 years, had no symptoms, then walked out on it on the last day, I feel bad every day at the moment, does anybody else suffer this way, I just cant convince myself that it is anxiety and therefore all in my head. Also I read the other day that anxiety is not helped bt too much caffine, is this true as I dring 3-4 litres of diet coke a day.

cj is right it's time to believe those results and let go of those feelings. I find that sometimes I worry and pay to much attetion to a little pain here and there and I just Have to remind myself it's just in my head and there is nothing wrong with me. When it comes to caffeine I have found a cup of coffee or a glass of tea or even a soda can make me real jittery so if I was you I would cut back on the coke and see if makes you feel better.

Anxiety and Panic can cause all sorts of symptoms.  You did the right thing by contacting your doctor and getting checked out...now it is time to believe the results.  With health anxiety comes excessive worry about 'symptoms' even if they are normal everyday aches and pains.  In my experience, we tend to scan for problems and catastrophicsize any and every feeling that we have.  Also, being in a constant state of alert can really tax us both mentallly and physically and it is sometimes hard to get out of that cycle.

Caffeine can definitely raise your anxiety levels; especially in such excessive amounts!  I am glad that you are here and encourage you to become active in this community and please keep us posted!
