Anxiety and Cognitive Impairment

Is it a common symptom with anxiety that your brain seems to slow down?  I have experienced this recently where thoughts that would be rapid and precise seem to be much slower and I am finding it harder to concentrate.  I also feel as though my memory has been affected.  The only med that I am taking is zolpedem for insomnia.  Any way to reverse this trend?

Something really good for sleep that is all natural is Melatonin... You can find it at any Health Food Store, Ambien is very addicting, so try not to get dependant on it.... Withdrawal ***** I should KNOW lol, I am coming off Ativan... HARD!!!!!!! that's all I can say HARD!!!!!

   But Melatonin is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to stop taking Ambien but I probably will not be able to fall asleep.  I feel like I need it to sleep.  Anyone know of any natural ways to fall and stay sleeping thru the night?

Namaste,

It could be a side effect of the Ambien. Are you experencing these symptoms just in the morning or all day?
Try not taking the Ambien for a few days and see if yor symptoms improve and if they do, you'll know the cause.
