Amber, Lydia is right, and the folks over on the HIV Forum are right...you have nothing to worry about!

Anxiety related to HIV is a common occurence for a lot of reasons...people being uneducated about the REAL risks for HIV, poor education history of HIV/AIDS causing an gross lack of understanding about just how hard it is to transmit...and guilt over certain sexual encounters.

Anxiety can easily spiral out of control.  I suggest to you that if you continue to be anxious despite being assessed as having no risk AND having a negative HIV test to PROVE that you are not infected, that you should seek professional help in the form of therapy, some people even need medications to help them control anxiety while they are working with a therapist.

Don't waste any more time worrying about something that isn't a risk.  Seek out some help for your anxiety and remember that the ONLY ways HIV can be transmitted are:

1. Unprotected anal or vaginal sex (condoms work when used consistently and correctly).
2.  Sharing IV drug works.
3.  From mother to infant.

I suggest you take this question over to our HIV Prevention Forum. Unless you've already been there and have been asked not to write anymore. If that is the case, then you have already been assessed and need to accept what you've been told.

HIV is not transmitted by oral sex.

Only at 12 weeks post exposure will you get a CONCLUSIVE test result.

I understand you're anxious, but you have no reason to be. Severe, prolonged anxiety CAN affect your health. You need to find a way to relax about this. I suggest you spend your time productively and get educated about HIV/AIDS.
Knowledge brings peace of mind.
Peace
