Anxiety medications (the good and the bad)

Whenever I start having a panic attack I am very reluctant to pop a Clorazepate because it gets me down for the rest of the day. I usually wait too long and am having a full blown attack by the time I take it. Does anyone else have this issue?

For me, antidepressants were the 'key' to helping me tolerate the symptoms from anxiety.
The 'benzos' help with the 'attack's ' but antidepressants help long term.

I usually do take just a half of the 7.5 mg. If I get to the point where I feel like I am dying, I go ahead and take a whole one. This morning I took half because I was able to thwart it in mid process. I still feel sort of blah, not really down, but blank-minded.

What is the dosage of Clorazepate ?
Why not try taking half of the pill at the times the doc prescribed.  This may be enough to minimize a 'full blown attack' while also minimizing the 'down' feeling you get.
Talk to your doc ...there are a lot of options available to you.
