Anxiety over sore erection. =/

Hello, I'm 31 years old, I didnt want to post this...

About 2 weeks ago, I was having anal sex with my wife. She doesn't like me to use lube. I remember the sex taking a while to complete.

A few days later, I was masturbating and i noticed when i pushed my erection down, It was sore near where my penis meets my body, and also in the middle of my penis. It did NOT hurt while flaccid.

I also suffer from anxiety, so after this happened, every other day or so I have been masturbating to see if the pain has gotten better, and some does it does and some days I feel a slight pain still.

Last night I had sex with my wife again, and my penis was still sore. But I was able to get comfy and ejaculate.

I started getting scared researching "broken penis" and other diseases that can require surgery and all this stuff. But I do not believe I have a severe injury, because when we were having sexy 2-3 weeks ago, it did not hurt during sex. I didn't hear a pop or a crack or a bend, but I'm SURE I could have strained the muscles.

My question is, is it possible to strain your penis muscle? It only is sore when I have an erection. There is no blood in my urine or pain. It doesn't hurt when I squeeze my flaccid penis, I don't' feel any hardness or bumps/lumps.

I'm thinking I need to quit thinking about it, leave it COMPLETELY alone for 2 solid weeks, which means no masturbation, no testing it, no sex and then see if it has gotten any better.

Is it possible to just strain the muscle? How long for healing?

Thanks guys!~ I believe this marks the 1st time for me talking about my Mr. Willy. haha.

I just talked to my brother and even a couple of my close guy friends about my issue. 2 of them said to STOP worrying about it. They said they've had it happen too, and it just takes time to heal. They said to stop playing with your Dingy. lol. That means no sex or masturbation for a while. =/

If in 14 days I try and have sex again and it is still aggravated, I will go see my Dr.. And even then, I'm SURE it will be nothing serious.

I know if I did go to the Dr. he'd ask me this:

Q: Have you done anything vigorous to it sexually lately?
A: Possibly 2.5 weeks ago after some intense sex, yes.

Q: Was there any bending or popping/cracking or pain involved that night?
A: No.

Q: Does it appear bent? Is it bruised? Red? Swollen? Discoloration?
A: No.

Q: Does it hurt when flaccid?
A: No.

Q: Does it burn when you pee? Or any blood in urine?
A: Nope

Q: Any pain in your rectum or lower back? (referring to prostate)
A: No.

Final Outcome: Strained Mr. Willy. Take it easy. Let the ligaments heal.

I keep playing this in my head to reassurance. lol.

I would have to agree with the advice.  Any pain or sensation can be severely exaggerated or seem much worse thatn it is when we are in a state of anxiety.  Also, don't be embarrased to post anything here....we ALL have our experiences with anxiety!  Keep us posted!

Hi again bud!

Yes, you most certainly can strain Mr. Willy!  I think the idea of resting him for a while is a good idea.

If the pain persists, even after that, obviously, it's time to see the doctor, but I wouldn't worry too much at this point (ha ha, easier said than done I know!)

Also, remember that when you're in an increased state of anxiety, your perception of any kind of symptom or sensation will be exaggerated.  Anxious people catastrophize physical sensations....then begins the "what iffing", the internet searching, etc.

You know the drill!

XOXO

I also read "...the ligaments that attach it to the pelvic bone can be strained."

I just read this on the internet, posted by a Dr. to another guy with the same concern...

"....especially after vigorous sexual intercourse or frequent masturbation. In these scenarios, the soreness is essentially just an over use injury, like a muscle 'strain', and it will get better if you avoid these activities for a while until your penis has had time to recover."

^ I think I'll just give that a try, do NOTHING for a week or 2, then test the waters. If it's still sore, then I will go to the Dr.
