Hello dear fellow sufferer: Vitamin B6 is critical to take or eat foods with B6 such as bananas/salmon/spinache/peas because your brain has a calming neurotransmitter called GABA which needs B6 to manufacture itself. Hope this helps.Magnesium/calcium are real important too. We don't get enough in our SAD(standard american diet).
I'm not sure "get over" is the proper term here. There are meds and supplements that can help you manage your anxiety. A psychiatrist and a good counselor may help you get over it. CBT and talk therapy may help along with the herbal supplement, but you really need a doctor to advise you. Different things work for different people. There is no one "right" answer.
Put very simply, there is no such thing as a "best" medicine or herbal concoction to deal with anxiety and depression.
Whatever you and your doctor decide is working for YOU, then THAT is the best medicine. Much also depends on what kind of anxiety you have, if there is an element of panic involved and the severety of your depression. We all react differently to medications and often we find what is best for us only through trial and error.
