Anyone experience bad side effects on Prozac?

Im on my second dose and have been reading about side effects and hair loss and weight gain are two of them that caught my attention. Has anyone in this community experienced any of the bad side effects? I realize most meds do have side effects but I dont wish to be on any that cause them in me anyway.

It doesn't really matter, because these drugs affect different people quite differently.  All antidepressants can cause weight gain, but that doesn't mean it will, it means it might.  I've been on several, and only one caused significant weight gain.  Only time will tell.  Hair loss is a new one on me, but maybe it's out there.  The insert that came with your prescription lists pages and pages of side effects.  Only by using one can you tell how it will affect you.  This is a reason that if your life hasn't been so severely disrupted you need medication to function other options are out there, including therapy.  But when we get to a point where we're so bad off we actually do need medication, if it works, usually the side effects can be dealt with, and when they can't, we try something else.

Thank you. Im just having some anxiety over it...lol, bc its been a long time since Ive been on any meds.
