Interesting reading this post, I posted last night regarding Alcohol and Anxiety, I drank heavily this weekend, which is not the norm for me, I am one who enjoys a couple of glasses of wine, but we had an eventful weekend and I was very hungover Sunday, last night my Anxiety was pretty bad, and not my normal symptoms. Sorry to hear how traumatic your event was this morning, mine have never been that bad. It sounds very scary! I really do think Alcohol plays a huge role in our Anxiety experiences, and have found that a few drinks are one thing, and I can usually deal with those symptoms, but when I drink over the top, they are much worse. Just remember, those of us with Anxiety tend to be extremely sensitive to any sensation in our body, once we feel this sensation, we get nervous and it spirals us into a full blown attack! They are so hard to get under control!
Best of Luck to you!

Most likely it if from heavy drinking. I have been drinking heavily for 20 years ( I am 38) and all the sudden 3 months ago it started happening to me in the middle of the night, at the SAME time...between 2:20 and 2:30am. My heartrate hasnt really gone above 120, I bought a wrist monitor. I have almost called 911 before, but I take my anxiety medication and within about an hour, it goes away. It wakes me up from a sleep and sometimes I have to go to the bathroom. I have seen a cardiologist and he confirmed it was most likely from drinking. I had and ECHO and a stress test, all normal for my age.
It *****..the rashes sound like you have an allergy to alcohol, that might be why it it giving you such a bad hangover. I have heard of people developing allergies to alcohol. You should test different drinks in moderation. I always stcik with moderately priced Vodka. I have noticed if I do eat a big meal that the attacks seem to be worse and I also get nauseous because the food in my stomach. The only thing that keeps me sane when it happens is because I do know it it is from drinking and I am not going to die from it, the first few times before I went to the cardiologist I thought I was having a possible heart attack...Good luck...you are still very young!
