Paxil CR question

Hi all, I have been on Paxil Cr for a few years. 25 mg. It has worked really well for my panic attacks but recently I lost insurance and won't be eligible for medicare for 8 months so I ordered my prescription from online pharmacy which I have done before with no problem. Since I was low on my meds and didn't want to run out before it got here I reduced dosage. Took 1/2 pill every other day only problem I had was balance issues which got better after a week. Now I got my meds and decided with doc since i didn't do too bad with reduction and it was still working to keep taking 1/2 and do every other day 1 whole if it wasn't working. Well, yesterday got what i now figure was a mild brain zap. I don't understand why I would get it now since I am now taking meds regularly  again. This has freaked me out. I kinda wish I never was put on this but it does keep my panic attacks at bay. Am going to talk to doc when I see him next week. By the way, my ears have constant ringing since I started this drug but I keep weighing my panic attacks against the side effects and so far the meds are coming out ahead. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks, steph

I also should add I take 20mg of Paxil but was previously on the 25CR. I liked the regular Paxil better than the CR.

Hi

You should not stop taking this. The withdrawl symptons are horrible and cause more anxiety. Do you have a Walmart nearby?  Ask your Dr to write you a script of 20mg Paroxotine (generic paxil)  Walmart will fill this for you for $4.

Best of luck to you!
