Can't sleep, stressed out and had panic attack at work!

This anxiety thing is getting really out of hand. I started having panic attacks 3 weeks ago after a series of traumatic events in my life, but was able to manage by Xanax. Now I can't sleep, feeling stressed out at work (deadlines), not even time for a lunch break lately, and fear coming home to my demanding spouse who just wants to talk and I just want peace & quiet.

I had another major panic attack today, this time in the office!!  I chewed on 0.5 mg Xanax and it was still going on so I had some candy (hypoglycemia?) but didn't feel better until I left the office and had some calming tea and Mg citrate.

I can't go on like this!  Would Klonopin make me more stable?

Thanks and sorry for such rant.  I needed to tell someone......

You are under alot of pressure at the moment and because of this you are at an all time low,its like everything and everyone relies on you and if you dont complete or meet everyones needs the world will come to an end,it wont, you need more you time speak to your husband about what is going on and explain to him that sometimes you just need peace and quite, also go back to your doctor so he can maybe get you some councilling to help you deal with your attacks.

You may need a different med,i never took them i found that talking was my best medicince,i think therapy is worth a go in your case as the meds aint helping at the moment,i am always here if you need to talk.

That's exactly what's going on!  Do you think I need a different medication (besides Xanax) or just see a therapist?  I do exercise - ride the stationery bike 30 min daily, try to relax in the morning before I go to work, drink water, cut back on coffee, eat relatively healthy.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'd love to go jogging or boxing again but I'm dealing with nerve pain from occipital neuralgia and get severe headache after even walking at a brisk pace.

I'm no professional and I hope more people respond to this

but here is some of my personal advice :)

eat healthy, drink water through out the day. excercise (jogging, running) hit the gym and get a personal trainer.

getting out more e.t.c

these kinda thing's really help the body relax

train a Martial Art like Boxing or Muay Thai/Brazillian Jiu Jitsu gyms you will meet friendly people and take out TONS of stress on hitting the bags and pads and you will learn self defence and learn how to fight/defend your self :)

see a doctor and be really thorough with how you feel :)
