Clonazepam & Cymbalta

I just began a Cymbalta (30mg/day) treatment regimen, and coincidently ran out of clonazepam one week later.  Rather than wait in the ER for 4 hours to see a doc, I am waiting for my next scheduled psychiatric appointment for a refill.  It's been two weeks now, and my appointment is in another 2 weeks.  I was prescribed .5mg/X2/day (morning & night) of Clonazepam (along with Trazodone (150mg at bedtime) for insomnia.  The latter seemed to be a secondary effect of my bupropion (300mg/day) treatment regimen.  Righ now my insonmia is no longer pronounced, and my anxiety seems to be well controlled by the Cymbalta.  My question is: Should I stay off the Clonazepam?  I am now experiencing a moderate amount of fatigue and dizziness, both of which are somewhat annoying though a bit disconcerting.  Am I wrongly attributing these symptoms to withdrawal, if not, how long do you think it will take for them to abate?

the reason i say i am addicted to them, is because if i run out or try to go without, i get soooo sick. i only take 1 0.5mg every morning. but if i did not have them i would be freaking out.

Sounds like Tollerance withdraws.

And if you have been taking them for that long, then your body has probably become dependent on them "I dont like the word addiction when it comes to this"

Do you ever get Muscle twitches, when you close your eyes do you see colors, body cramps, do you feel WORSE IN THE MORNING "thats a big one" blurred vision?
when I first withdrew myself from Klonopin, I fealt it more in the morning, because it wacked out my Cortisol for a minute, and my BP was really high "caused allot of the symptoms"
I fealt all of that, after cutting down to .25 mgs "lol its low, but .25 Clonazepam= 5mgs valium, sooo"
I still agree with them though, thats just there negative side effect, everything has one.

Klonopin is supposed to be taken at a steady dose, not fluctuating "can cause tollerance complications" twice a day split up doses.
Builds a steady dose inside your body, and ends up working 24/7 but it takes about 2 weeks to get to the no "ups and downs"
If your still feeling ups and downs, then its probably not dosed yet, or your going through tollerance withdraws.
You can read about it if you look up "ashton manual" or "tollerance withdraws" in a yahoo search.

Good Luck

How do you know you are addicted to Klonopin?  Waht happens when you try to quit?
What does do you take daily?  Just curious because I am up to 2 - 3 mg a day and I used to take only 1mg per day.  My anxiety has gotten much worse, that is why I have needed to increase.  I have been taking benzo's off but mostly on for the past 15 years. All prescribed by my doctors. Transxene, Ativan and now for the past two years Klonopin. The Ativan became less effective.

give it another couple of day, maybe a week and see how you feel.
Klonopin is long lifed, and sometimes it could take about 2-4 weeks to even feel like its not in you.
But definently, if you end up not needing them, that awsome, but Id suggest getting your script filled "just in case" and just forget about em, unless ya need them.
