This is really a conversation between you and your doctor. I don't think you mean tranquilizers per se as those are used for sleep and you probably want to stay awake while studying. You may mean anxiolytics which are anti anxiety medication. There are different options. There are short term anxiolytics but they are controlled substances prescribed by a doctor. I'd imagine on a low dose, you could still study just fine. The other option is a long term medication that helps with anxiety in general. That would be a medication that you take every day (usually once a day) but it would help with your ongoing anxiety on a regular basis without any type of 'affect' that would cause you to not function well like a tranquilizer or short acting anxiolytic taken in excess might do. But either way, you have to see a doctor to discuss this and should not try to take anything on your own. good luck
