Doctor says it's not anxiety.help

Hi I am 22 year old female with 2 kids. I have been on implants for 15months and got it removed last week due to feeling depressed, anxious and been to hospital with heart palpitations. Everything came clear so I've done my own research and found out that it was caused by implanon (thats why I got it removed) anyway the doctor said that it's not anxiety which I can't understand.
My symptoms come and go I could be getting on with my day then see something on the news and freak out over it it that it's gonna happen to me and I get hot flushes feel like I'm going insane heart racing Un easy anxious feeling the only way I can explain it is the feeling of fear like someone told u something terrible has happened and everything just sinks. Also sometimes I would get thoughts about pointless meaning of life that I got no where (even though I love my children and I'm very happy with them they're my world) but these thoughts would just come in randomly I wouldn't think about them to make them come on.. Another thing I get is I fear that there is something majorly wrong with my health I feel like I have every disease and every little pain I get I think that's it its something serious and I'm going to die.
Is this anxiety or what is it I really need some help it's getting so bad at times its raining my day.
Sorry for the long post

Your doc is a smart cookie, unusual for primary docs.  Your problem started with a hormonal imbalance, and so it isn't garden variety chronic anxiety.  It might feel like that, but you have a better chance of getting better by getting your hormones back in balance, which you've already begun by discovering he implanon was the culprit.
