Facial tension and numb arm

I was wondering if anyone out there has experienced the same symptoms I have.  Since I've had my my first panic attack a year ago, I have not been the same.  The attack happened while I was driving. I could tell something was terribly wrong, so I pulled over.  The left side of my body started getting numb and heavy.  The feeling eventually took over my whole body.  My throat felt like it was closing in and mouth and lips were clenched tight.  My body grew stiff and I couldn't get my fingers to sepeate.  Since then, I have constant facial tension. I've tried every relaxation technique around and nothing is working. My left arm starts to feel numb when I'm stressed too.  I get stressed while driving and don't like to drive far or be away from my home too long for fear that it will happen again.  Anyone else have symptoms like this?

Yes, I have been to the doctor and got a full check up done, ruling out thyroid, heart/circulation problems, and hyper/hypoglycemia.  My dr does belove that stress is behind it all.

Have you been to see a Dr about these symptoms? They very well could be anxiety related. But, it's best to have a full check up to rule everything else out.
