I get anxious driving sometimes too, but it is something we have to do. I make myself do it and tell myself so what is the worst thing that happens... I have an attack and then I will just drive back home if I do. I do go to the store and come back and then go to the bank and come back and each time I gain a little more confidence and go a little further. I think that self satisfaction makes our minds a little stronger. Try talking on speaker phone with a friend while you drive.
This is very common with people who suffer with panic attacks. Therapy can help along with medication. It's difficult to beat on your own, so don't be concerned about getting help with it so you can get your life and freedom back. Take care...
you cant let this controlyour life,if you dont feel comfy driving your car then fair comment but you have to speak to someone about your fears so you can move on from this
I can relate to you. I too struggle with panic attacks and the fear of them returning. Have you talked to your dr about this? You might want to consider talking with a therapist. I do know that if you let the fear take over your mind it is only going to get worse. The best advice I can give you is to talk to someone and try to face the fear. Get back in your car and go for a drive even if it is only around the block. Each time you do it it will get easier. You have to take your control back. I should really learn to take my own advice. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you feel better.....
