Do I really need to be concerned of hiv?
Hi Dude.. Thanks... But I am very stressful.. now I am finding some rash and geting more nervous.. I used the condom given by the CSW.... are those good enough? also any idea about the CSW in HK-do they go for regular check up of HIV?
I am dying of tension and stress. Looking for your kind reply. Thanks.
Cregiver222 is wrong. The HIV prevalence in Hong Kong is very low.
Condom gives excellent protection against HIV if used properly.
Condoms available in Hong Kong are of good international brands.
There is an extremely high incidence of HIV in Hong Kong, and you are reasonable to be concerned. Not all condoms manufactured outside of the United States will contain HIV.
You would not seroconvert until six weeks have gone by, so wait two months and get tested.
There is no point in worrying about what MIGHT happen. Wait a bit and have yourself tested. Since you wore a condom there is not much danger.
The good thing is you had protected sex; condoms are extremely effective against the transmission of HIV. Why not get tested after a certain amount of time...it is the responsible thing to do anyway. Health anxiety can be very hard to deal with, but you can rest easily that you did the smart thing by having protected sex. In my opinion, if this worries you, change your behavior...going going to a brothel may not be the best option if you are worried about contracting an STD....keep us posted!
