Feel like I am having a set back - could use a pep talk

About two weeks ago my doc switched me from citalopram to paxil .20. It seemed to completely cures the nausea and frequent runs to the bathroom. She gave me klonopin .50 to help me sleep and not wake up with the anxiety. I actually sleep almost the whole night and wasn't paniced when I did. I was feeling good. I was still taking four xanax .25 a day, but began to ween off. Now I am down to one a day. I have been feeling good. I have been able to eat. I was not as afraid to be alone. Almost back to myself. The last two days, have been feeling increased anxiety. I am jittery. I feel more nauseous. Could this just be from the weening of xanax (I was on it for about six weeks) and getting use to the paxil. I thought I found the right combo, now I am discouraged.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks. It just stinks. I felt so good after going off the citalopram and now  have the side effects coming back. I hope this is just another adjustment period that goes quickly.

How long have you been taking Paxil?

It might be the paxil. don't be alarmed but the early stages of taking this drug can increase your anxiety a bit. It takes a few weeks to get use to, at least thats how it worked with me.

Right now you have to weather the storm. don't worry about losing it or anything like that. I am just speaking from experience. I kept thinking that the paxil would make me worse and I would finally go over the edge. Never happened. Just some discomfort until you get use to it.

It may also be going off the xanax. I really wouldnt know about that because I was never on a high dose. Just take it before bed once in a while if I have trouble sleeping.

Hang in there, you're ok.
