That must be scary for you.I think the fear of death is something a lot of people struggle with,it sounds like youre really scared youre going to die sometime soon just like that, out of the blue. This might sound hard to do but you know no one can predict the future, the best we can do is enjoy the now, being here, now. If you feel this is really weighing on you maybe talking to someone,a counsellor might help you.Lily
Thanks for the advice and concern.
Hi. Yes, this is a very common fear....especially in people with anxiety. When one has anxiety we tend to dwell more on it, creating a vicious cycle. I think therapy would do you a lot of good in teaching you how not to worry so much about this. It's become your main focus while taking away the joy of living for you. You don't want to miss a moment of your life, or wake up one day an old person, wondering where the years went....you will have worried them away. By addressing this one fear you have, you are nipping this in the bud, and will be able to get on with your life. I would see a psychiatrist for an evaluation, and he can refer you to the best type of therapist for your needs. I suggest a psychiatrist because if medication is needed, they are the most knowlegable. I personally think you can beat this with therapy alone, but discuss your options with the doctor and go from there. Know you're not alone, and we're always here for you. Best wishes and keep us posted!
