tottaly agree with the above post. . .and you are so right on the Bible as well. . .God gets me through it when nothing else will.  I have worked to get my breathing under control and that controls the panic attacks, and Im changing my thinking to just push those "scary" thoughts out when they come.  This forum is helping too:)

WATER   WATER   WATER!  I can't impress this enough on you.  Did you realize that you should drink no less than  2 qts of water EACH DAY!  Your body has poisions in it from just living life.  From the foods you eat, the air you breathe and the chemicles in your body when things aren't right all cause you stress, anxiety, etc.

Drink up.  I think if you got in this habbit you would see results in a few weeks.  One thing to remember is you did not get in this position overnight and you wont get out of it overnight either.  Hang in there!  I realize that advice like this seems worthless sometimes but if you listen to all people in this forum you would be better off than listening to just one doc.

What do you have to loose?  Maybe a little weight and some anxiety to go along with it.

One more thing...reading the bible wouldnt hurt either.  I find it calms me down when other things wont.

Eat a good meal, drink lots of water and get off your butt and go for a walk..a good walk!  Move those arms and make your heart pump!  Look at the trees and think of something else....The anxiety is controlling YOU...YOU have to start controlling the anxiety!!!

Are you eating and drinking properly yet?  If you are only eating a little food once in awhile (a hamburger in a 24 h period) and barely drinking it is no wonder you are feeling dizzy and light headed!  This just exasabates your anxiety symptoms.  Moreover,  eating poorly and not drinking can cause some very serious medical conditions!  Google "basal metabolic rate calculator" - this will tell you how many calories you need to consume each day to maintain your weight, for your given height.  You need to ensure you are eating properly, and hydrated for your body to function.... this is a good start on the road to feeling like your old self.

Are you on any medications for anxiety?  This is another step in the right direction.  A counsellor and relaxing techniques will likely also be beneficial.

Right now it really sounds like you are stuck in a rutt.  Unless you help yourself by practicing techniques or seeking advise from a professional you are going to remain in this rutt.  The descision to remain there or get yourself is up to you - you know what you need to do, its just a matter of doing it.

Good luck!
