HUGE panic attack woke me up last night! I thought I was doing so much better. ANY ADVICE would help!!

I was doing so much better w/ my panic disorder which decieded to hit me out of the blue 3 weeks ago after 5 years of semi freedom.  I have been on Lexapro for over a year, taking Xanax much more frequently & have seen a therapist 3 times since this started again.  I was back to work this week, only taking a half .25 mg Xanax & thought I was almost 'cured'.  Went to sleep @ 9pm & woke up @ 10:30 w/ severe panic attack in full swing!  I took a Xanax and my husband comforted me until I could go back to sleep.  I had every symptom, I was trembling so bad I could barely walk or do any muscle tensing/relaxation techniques.  I am so discouraged now :(.  I am home from work today...I don't want to continue this cycle of fear!  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I had panic attacks due to worrying about my job and thinking my wife will dump me.  This was seemingly turning into a self-fulfilling prophesy until my doctor recommended a hypnotherapist to help me.  The hypnotherapist said some soothing words and helped me to visualize what it would be like without anxiety compared to the worse case scenario.  This helped me to put things into perspective and after that one session, NO MORE ANXIETY and BETTER SLEEP!  I hope this helps you
