You have had virtually every test out there checking for signs and symptoms of a heart attack and they've all been negative. It's sometimes very difficult to accept that we don't have an illness when we have all the symptoms of it.
There are many other causes of chest pain and I think the time is right for you and your doctor to explore those. GERD, asthma, chest wall pain.........even a broken rib can cause the s/s of heart attack. And those are just a few.
Your age is most definitely in your favor as is your weight.
See your doctor to rule out any of the many other possibilities and get on with your life. You're way too young to be worried about this stuff.
Please let us know what they say, OK?
Thanks for responding. It is tough.. becouse I worry that my symptoms werent showing up when the tests were taking place... so what if they missed something...
Then I worry that I have new symptoms every few days... what if it would show up now?
THEN i worry.. since I only have warning signs.. what if the tests didnt pick anything up becouse I havent had a acutal heart attack yet?
I just had two cardiac stents placed because both arteries we're nearly 100% blocked. I was having the same symptoms as you and I had exactly the same tests as you. If you had had a heart attack or were on the verge of having one, or were heading in that direction......those tests would have shown that and they'd have you in the cath lab for the same procedures I had!
Now stop all the "what iffing" and second guessing the doctors. If you're still bothered by chest pains, see a cardiologist if you haven't already.
I'm betting it's FFD............Fast Food Disorder.
Heart attacks are not random. They are caused by something, usually blocked arteries or some heart pathology. This would show up on the tests you did even if you didn't have the symptoms at that time. Think of it this way, a broken bone may or may not hurt, but it will always look broken on an X-ray. Similarly a heart defect would show up on all the tests you did, even if it hasn't caused a heart attack yet. Since the tests turned out OK, it's very unlikely you would have a heart attack, so don't worry about that.
If the symptoms still bother you, even though you know they are not a heart attack, it may be worth going to your primary doctor to take care of them.
One last thing that was botherin me.. is i told the doc i had no past history of heart disease... and i didnt think i did...but turns out that my granfather did, and so did his brothers...
The doc still doesnt know this... im wondering if he would have done different tests or checked for different things if he would have known that heart deiese was in my family.
Probably not. I think he would have just ordered all the tests sooner. What happened probably is you complained about your symptoms and he sent you for an EKG and thought it was over. But you complained again and he sent you for the stress test, then for the echo test and so on. If he knew you had family history, he probably would have sent you to all of these at once. But since by now you did all of them anyway already, it doesn't matter much.
If you are still concerned about it, you can still tell him. You don't even need an appointment, just send them a message by email or phone. I'm quite sure they will tell you that for now you are fine.
I really wish these crap would go away... even on xanex im having pains..
and little panic attacks are in between.
Thanks for all the help tho guys..
