This may be a form of tourettes. Thc helps
i should add that i also chomp. from 100-1000 times a day. i read about people losing their teeth from it. i suggest getting your jaw checked, also seeing how many vitamins youre taking, chewing gum, and meditation.
i might have an answer. my bottom two front teeth are supposed to line up with the top two front teeth. when relaxed my jaw will shift and itll seem like i have a tooth in the middle of my mouth. so i have appointments to set up, and im going to try Best Treaments first. heard it helps. if not, i guess ill go back to the dentist to get teeth filed/ after that? i dont know i guess jaw surgery.. ANOTHER reason is a body's replacement of: GUM, or VITAMINS. (so it will think youre chewing gum, etc.) in my case vitamin e. OR a nervous habit. (not sure how to fix that)
Not real sure what "teeth chomping" involves, but if it's anything remotely like clenching your teeth, it's tension, nervousness, anger, anxiety, fear, a mixture of any or all of the above. It could also just be a very bad habit you've aquired.
You're not alone with this problem. There are millions of us who have our dentists make personal fitting mouth guards and it's why THEY drive Porches and you and I don't.
Check with your dentist. (Sorry) They can tell right away if you're creating problems for yourself. TMJ is often a result of grinding, clenching and most likely, chomping.
