Thanks mammo, for the help!!
Thanks guys, I owe you one.
Talk to your parents and let then know how you've been feeling, they will know what to do.
There is help for this and you will feel better. We hear from a lot of young teens like yourself, so know you're not alone. If for some reason you don't feel you can talk to your parents...put it in a letter to them. If that doesn't work talk to a teacher, counselor, principal, or relative. Show your parents this forum so they can see how real this is....if need be. It's going to be okay.
Hey I'm 18 and have had anxiety, depression, and hypochondria since I was 17. It is normal to feel the way u feel and yes they're linked to anxiety. When I have an attack I usually feel short of breath, have a rapid heartbeat and racing thoughts. Occasionally I will get the feeling that I'm not myself and that this person with the anxiety isn't me. BUT IT IS. Calming down is easier said then done, but having medication and therapy helps. I used to think that it wouldn't because the therapist isn't going through the anxiety so how would they kno? But it does because they deal with ppl like us everyday. Medication is only used to help the symptoms not fix the problem so don't think there are miracle pills like that. If u have anxiety there is usual a source triggering it and only u can find it and fix it. I have not yet figured mine out. It can take days, wks, months, even years but it is possible. Hope I helped and good luck
Talk to your parents or a close adult friend. Maybe you could even talk to a teacher or counselor. In the end it will be your parents who will need to support any decisions to be made. You need to see a doctor and find therapy that will help you. You can feel better. Trust me. A lot of people on this forum have been where you are. It will get better. Good luck. Time to set Mom and Dad down for a good heart to heart.
