How to cope with anxiety during window period?

Hi all, I thought I'd pose a question that I rarely see on any forum - how to deal with anxiety while waiting for the window period to pass so you can take all the necessary tests for a conclusive answer. I know relentlessly checking your symptoms don't mean anything, but it's hard not to. Given that the window period can stretch for weeks, I'd love some advice on how to keep myself motivated to keep going on and not withdraw into a shell. I normally lead an active life, going to the gym regularly and have a good work life balance but I've taken time off work and have been hiding in my room. My one outlet is my best friend, who I text regularly with my anxiety. I'm having a hard time trying to get out there and get on with it, even though I know it's useless to mope.

Would be great to hear feedback from people who were previously/currently in my situation and your coping mechanisms. In any case, it would be great to have an online support group who could check in with one another while we wait out our 'window periods'.
