I just need help to squash my thoughts (About Clorazepate)

Since the psych has switched me from cymbalta to nortripyline, I am having the withdrawals from cymbalta and my gradual tapering off. I am taking a clorazepate (Tranxene) in the morning to reduce the side effects. So far I haven't had to do it on the weekends, just during the work week. This morning is my first morning to be completely off of cymbalta. I attempted to not take a clorazepate this morning but ended up having to at lunch. At 7.5mg of this clorazepate, what is the likelihood that if I keep doing this for the next 2 or 3 weeks that I will get addicted to this drug???

Well there is always some effect when taking any drug. The clorazepate is in a class of meds similar to xanax. Taking it for the med switch should be fine it usually takes 6 months to become physically addicted to meds like that. Just use it for the time you need it to switch meds. It's amazing what medication can and can't do. Hang in there and take it one day at a time. All the best.
