I noticed something about being sleepy and anxiety

When I don't sleep well or only get 5-6 hours of sleep, I'm tired the next morning and my anxiety increases. Anyone notice this??

Of course you are going to feel extra anxious if you have not had the sufficient amount of sleep and as you my be aware for adults the average amount of sleep is ranging at 8 hrs max, and at a lower scale of a mere 6 hours and what a lot of us folk seem to believe is that if we get the sufficient amount of at least 6 hours that will do us fine, but sadly that is not the case at all... and so if you miss the required amount of sleep, not only our bodies feel this, but also our health, physholgisicist and every other aspect of our being feels this, spilling out onto our emiotions, mentality and not to mention our digestive tract.... sounds like a big speel but true, trust me I know, as Im an night owl and always have been and its only when I train my psychical body and mind set to an average sleeping pattern routine that I notice the difference, I should know at this stage of my life as I am now 40 years old lol... I really hope this has helped you, God bless, Sharon X

Yes, and it's proven that not getting enough sleep can cause anxiety.  Professionals say that sleep is just as detrimental to your health as diet and exercise.  This is just a for instance of how important sleep is, but people who don't sleep for several days on end (even ones without any history of mental illness) can end up in a state of psychosis.  If it is becoming a problem, there are a lot of different sleep aids out there that can help.  I don't like the way they make me feel the next day, but sometimes they're necessary to recharge your body.

Hi,

Yeah I've noticed this a couple of time, I've also noticed if I oversleep, the same thing can happen, seems that I'm more prone to anxiety sometimes if I oversleep or undersleep.
