I just wanted to add that I have IBS and have panic and anxiety disorder. I have noticed here lately that whenever I have to go to the bathroom, before I even feel like I have to go I start to feel panicky or anxious. Then about 10 min later I will notice that I have to go, I now can contribute most of my panic attacks and anxiety symptoms I have to that. Whenever I start to have that anxious feeling I just say to myself "must be time for a potty break". I did look some of this up on the net and found out that it is pretty common in IBS sufferers and a lot of the people didn't and don't even realize that is the link to their anxiety. Also - and this is very important due to my experience last night. If you have IBS then you know you suffer from bouts of constipation as well as diarrhea. NEVER take milk of magnesia for constipation unless you really want to lose about 7lbs in 2 hours! Last night was a bad idea! I think I will just stick with one of my dad's sayings - "don't worry about being constipated, it'll all work itself out in the end."
