I have a few answers for you but many of us feel a hundred times better when someone reassures us, but most of us let our anxiety raise more questions and feed into our fear. We have talked about your medical fears and now you wonder if you've developed something since. Remember these are the same symptoms that got you all of the medical tests in the first place, so really nothing medical has changed, you are still physically healthy. The shaky feeling you describe is often the aftermath of the adrenaline rush we get during a panic attack. We need to talk about your treatment little more though. We can reassure you all day but that won't stop your anxiety from coming back. There is great therapy out there that can teach you all about how to deal with anxiety, and possibly end it. You CAN feel better, but it's going to take more than what we can do. Talk to the dr that gives you the meds and ask them to refer you to a therapist. Also, maybe you should talk to your doc about what meds you should be on and how long it will take them to work. We'll be here for you and you can always talk to me, but I can't help you like a dr or therapist can. Keep me posted hun!

how long were you on the medications before you stopped them? These meds often take 6 weeks for you to feel their full effects. Also as greenlydia often points out, medication just masks our symptons, we need therapy to get better.

You had said you suffered for anxiety for 2 yrs but you are now off meds. May I ask why you stopped? Were they helping?  If you were being treated for anxiety I guarantee what you have is anxiety. As for vertigo, stress can bring that on as well and it can produce many anxiety like symptoms. I had a bad ear infection last summer and had terrible vertigo. I could not stand up straight i was so dizzy. How are they treating that? Are you having the wax removed? That may lesson some of your discomfort.
Please do yourself a favor and seek talk therapy. You are way too young to let this consume your life. You should be out enjoying life!

Be well :)

hmf pretty much said it all....all of us that deal with anxiety think we have every disease in the world... whether it be diabetes, cancer, heartattack, whatever the case we feel some little pain somewhere and we automatically think we have something. We go online, search for our symptoms and GOSH the symptoms for cancer are the same exact symptoms you are having!

So you freak out, you exam yourself constantly certain you have a disease, you go to different doctors and they all tell you the same, that there is nothing wrong with you, but you know they have to be wrong certainly you have cancer!

I've been there, we've all been there. I think the most difficult thing we all deal with is knowing what symptoms are just us being anxious and what symptoms are real. Obviously, I don't reccommend going to the doctor for every single little pain you think you have but if something is truly bothering you go to the doctor, get checked out and if there's nothing wrong with you then that's that! Deal with it!

Don't be afraid of medication or therapists... I refuse to take medication for my anxiety but that's because by going to a therapist I think it's all the help I need my therapist was also amazed at the progress I have made from where I was 2 years ago until now. Sometimes a combination of therapy and medication is what people need, like hmf everyone is different and just because you've been through 20 different therapists keep trying! You WILL find someone who you feel comfortable with and that will help you eventually.

Avoid certain triggers like alcohol... right now I'm going through a pretty bad anxiety attack due to overdoing it last night. I feel that I am short of breath, so I take deep breaths. I think there's something wrong with me, because I've felt short of breath for the past few days without doing an excessive activity. but I know the fact that I pay so much attention to it is why I feel short of breath... when I'm out and doing other activities I don't even notice it.

I guess my point is, if you've been to a doctor or doctors take their word for it and believe you are ok. Go see a therapist, doesn't have to be a psychiatrist at all and get help.

I totally agree with everything hmf has already told you and I concur that what you are experiencing is anxiety/panic. Your symptoms are classic.
As hmf pointed out, you have had some incredibly extensive testing done so we know your heart is sound. They obviously did bloodwork as well and that was fine or they would have done more tests. So that pretty much leaves us with the anxiet/panic cards on the table.
I would call your doctors office and ask for a referral to a good therapist.............a psychologist or psychiatrist. They may put you on some medication that will make you feel better, but please don't stop there. Pills will just mask whatever the deeper problem is, and that is what you need to fix more than just the symptoms you are experiencing.
Also as hmf has pointed out, your symptoms are very familiar to all of us here. We have all felt many of the same things, so you are not alone there. I know they can be very frightening, but try to remember that's it's just your mind making you feel all these things. And we know how difficult that is to accept  but that is something you will learn to cope with in therapy. And you will learn ways to make it stop.
Please call your doctor and begin to get your life back.
Please let us know how you're doing and post any time you need to talk, we're always here.
I wish you the very best
Peace
Greenlydia

Well alot of things influenced my opinion. First the "rollercoaster" feeling is very common with anxiety attacks, I get it really bad and I hate it, but I know it is just my anxiety. The brain tumor/ stroke worries are VERY common with anxiety, I along with many others on here have had these worries from the headaches and weird feelings we get from anxiety and panic. Also, look at all the medical tests you've already had. Your dr's have extensively examined you and would most likely have found any physical problem by now. Headaches, chest tightness/pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, these are just a few of the physical symptoms that come with anxiety, I've gone through them too. The feeling your getting in bed, I used to get all the time right before I went to sleep. You get nausea, I get diarrhea.  I have been where you are, that's what "makes me so sure". I've had the tests, the ER visits, and the misery that comes with anxiety. I am by no means a doctor, but I can tell you my personal expirience has been very similar. I also have OCD, so I too feel like a bum because the anxiety and ocd have made me tired and a little agoraphobic, so I'm not working and have to do college from home. Why are you no longer taking medication? Your anxiety sounds pretty severe, there are great ssri's that help this as well as other meds if need be. I've found therapy and medication to be best for me, but everyone is different and not everyone needs medication. It seems you were on medication before, so I'm curious as to why you stopped. Anxiety is a very difficult disorder to have. I am not an expert, nore am I out of the woods with my own anxiety, but I have learned as much as I can about the disorder via books, therapists, psychiatrists, anxiety programs, internet, my pcp, and the wonderful people on here. Please keep in contact with me and let me know how you are doing. Did you seek out a therapist and/or a psychiatrist?

I'd bet a ton this is anxiety. The extensive testing has shown there is nothing physical. You're symptons are similar to ones that most of us have gone through. You are not alone. Try taking some deep breaths and calming down a bit. I would definantly find a psychiatris and psycologist to address your anxiety. Your insurance company should be able to give you a list of them in your area. Feel free to message me. Hope it helps.
