Ok so i have this problem im addicted to researching every symptom i feel, and when i do i start getting panic thinking i can have that disease.. Is Frighten.... Example: yesterday i started having right pain in my lower abdominal i research pain in lower abdominal and it turns out it can be my appendix, so now im terrify i have that n i really want to go to the doctor and check, my pain right now went away but i still feel a far away pain very mild. Im always in & out the doctors clinic & hospital always finding new symptoms & trying to google only makes my anxiety worst. My family says i might pull a muscle or might be my ovary. Does anybody have the same problem of researching every symptoms????

Ma'am, what you need to do even though this my sound too blatant is just go cold turkey on it.

Its a bad habit and it needs to be stopped, it can be stopped like any other but you need to take the first step and recognize it does not accomplish anything but make you worry, well - that doesn't do you any good. Researching symptoms is difficult, simply because you do the searcing with a bias, expecting the worst and reading and accepting anything that seems to concur with your symptoms. They actually call this "cyberchondria". Just do not research them, if you continue to do so, you will just repeat the cycle.

Be careful doing this, you will find every single symptom in the world.  Stressing about it can actually cause symptoms.  I once diagnosed myself with multiple sclerosis.  Be careful with Dr. Google.  Anyone on here will tell you the same thing.  Try to relax.  If you are in serious need of medical attention you will know.  If you appendix needs taken out it will not be a slight pain.  You will not be able to walk.  Its a shooting pain, not a dull mild pain.  Hope this helps.
