Is head pressure anxiety and panic attacks?

2 months ago i was told i was going through anxiety and panic attacks by my doc. i was having sharp pains in my chest numbness in my left arm basically all heart attack symptoms. i went for every test known to man and it all came back good i was given xanax for my attacks that seemed to work. so far im doing alot better . im kinda taking myself slowly off xanax. I have days where i feel like its gonna be an attack free day . others i only need .25mg of a xanax and that gets me through the day. Lately the past few days ive had a strange pressure in my head on the top right side. It doesnt hurt just feels weird . Of course i immedietly think stroke or some other fatal brain malfunction . cCan this be part of my panic attacks do symptoms change with anxiety and panic attacks?

yes it can, i have tingling on my face and ears lots times, have had the strange feeling on my head to.

anxiety changes many different ways once you get almost used to it , it does something new, thats how you stay in anxiety so yes it has many forms and that is one of them.

try and relax all your test were great and try and keep living your everyday life or it will try and take over , i have had it many many years , and right now am health anxiety over getting a test done that is nothing but thats how i am, once passed it i will be free of it again.

heres to having a great day and worry free. Barbara

Try attacking anxiety and depression tapes you will never feel alone or scared again. I cannot recommend them enough.

I feel the same way. I was on medication for almost 2 years, then came off of it because I was doing well. I have since slipped back to my old ways. I know how hard it is to try and function every day and to obsess that there is something physically wrong with you. I find that people who don't suffer from anxiety and panic are not able to sympathize, and say it is all in our head. Yes, it is in our head, but it is a disease. You can't just snap your fingers and poof its gone. It takes a lot of work and sometimes medication to help get you to a place where you can be peaceful. Personally, I get a lot of the physical symptoms that are associated with anixety and I hate it so much. Sometimes I don't want to get out of bed just so I can feel safe. I force myself to try and live my life as I did before this all started. Don't worry, you are not alone. Many people feel your pain and know what it is like.

I recently had what i think is a panic attack. Forst thing that happend was i just felt this rush of heat almost to my center chest sternum area and i had no tight chest or troubles breathing maybe hyper ventilating a bit my heart rate was a little higher than normal and my fingertips went tingly. Then i statred to get confused because i wonder why is my body doing this! I get a tiny bit shaky and lightheaded and such and after it all seems to have passed i feel odd for a few days like disconnected if you will and for a couple hours or so after i will have a pressure headache in the temple areas of my head ? Is this just panic attacks? I have had 2 of these episodes in the past month first one was far worse than the second one i experienced tonight. Man it ***** being a hypocondriac Also both have happened extremely randomly and i find myself afraid to go to bed after because i think i might die. Typical hypocondriac here

I have been suffering for years, first it was just multiple PVC's, once or twice every six months or so, then it was every day then 24/7 no break and then finally go away. When it came back it was different, dizzy vertigo and the PVC,s ARE DIFFERENT NOW, IT IS MORE OF A Squishy HEARTBEAT Accompanied with tremendous head and chest pressure to the point of nearly passing out. I have had EKG's, angiogram, dye tests CT scans and all normal. I am so tired, so hard to function at work, or in everyday things, I am just so tired now just want to cry all the time. family says in my head, i know what i am feeling and it is not normal, I am at a loss, just so tired of this fight

Lately it keeps changing from weird pain in my head to sharp pains through my chest toward the center I also get sharp pain in my shoulder I always feel like I need to go to the hospital Ive been told by docs this is panic attacks.  So I'm afraid its going to be something serious and I stay home taking xanax when its really an angina or something serious. I even started getting weird sensations in my neck usually they lead to an attack

I'm going through some of the same things now. Been checked out. Called 911 three times in the last five years and everytime they say my heart is fine. My heart rate would be high and bloodpresure was a lil high. The mind can do amazing things.

yes the anxiety does change , once you get used to one thing it changes to another one.lol,  that way you never get used to it and can keep anxiety, sad thing is its nothing but our mind doing it. its a real strong organ and it does this on its own, strange huh but if you really study anxiety/panic its nothing but us doing it.

hope ya have a good night and not so much stress
p.s i got mine around 23 everyday thought it was my last, didnt think i would see my boys grown, am now 52 and they are 30-33 so it wont kill you just make your life he-- now and than..  am dealing with a bad stomack from having anxiety over a stupid simple test i need to get done next thursday but i let it get to me so bad that my stomack hurts and i feel sick with lots air in chest.   hope it clears so i can get test done.

Yes!! I get this alot. It causes nasty pressure in your head and chest pressure in the center of your chest which seems like a heart attack is very common to. I'm noticing the longer i'm suffering that anxiety symptoms seem to change. I don't know if it's like that for everyone but I'm noticing it for me. It started with social anxiety then it turned into health anxiety. The physical symptoms started as tension in the head then started getting more and more symptoms over time to the point of where I go to the dr i have to make lists to show him. He can never find anything wrong in teh bloodwork or ekg's as well as not be able to treat these symptoms to make me more comfortable either which is very crappy as i'm usually a walking ball of pain and worry in a daily basis I think every day is my last that i'm gonna die all young of some diagnosed illness. So hang in there man. Don't surrender and let this demonic condition win.

i have the flutters to been to cardio dr many times with them and than they just go away.

yes i have the dull headackes and bad headackes depends on how far i throw myself into the anxiety, my back muscles  and shoulders get tight and causes them lots of times. its no fun thats for sure and like i said am fighting it a little now, tummy dont feel good and just on edge but i know what its from so i can work it out after i get that test done i will be good,

thats the thing it took me a long time to figure out why i had these feelings why were they comeing , than when they would start i would sit back and remember all that had happen and figured out it was health anxiety, and post drama stress, so i pretty much got mine under control until it comes to my health than its down hill untill i can pull it in.

just keep telling your self its only anxiety and it will not kill you it will get better .

Thanks barbara i originally got flutters in my heart as well. most of that has passed now and then they return especially when working out . i constantly fear the worst even though i know what it is . but now i get these dull headaches and weird pressures in my head i originally thought it was the benzo meds. but idk . i dont want to rely on all that but it seems the only thing that helps i only take it when absolutley necessary. My life has been turned upside down but im trying to slowly get back to life. i was told it may only be for a few months. did u get constant dull headaches aswell? im hoping this symptom will disapate aswell . id almost rather the chest pains again.

thanks , Dan
