Medication

Hi All.  Im new to the site but so glad i have found somewhere to talk to people with similar illness.  I have been having panic attacks now for 6 weeks related to a health worry.  Mines always relate to health worries.  I have been on zoloft for years but my doctor put me on Alprax 3 x 0.5mg per day but he doesn't want me to keep taking them because they're addictive.  They also suggested putting me on Zyprexa short term.  I don't know what to do about the Alprax because the anxiety is stopping me from functioning in everyday life.

Hi,i know how u felt,i do experienced that,i do concern abt my health too,u name it,heart problems, lungs etc..so i did all necessary test on that..it came out fine..but guess wat.i began to doubt the doctors and the result, its normal for anxiety ppl to think like that, wats best for u is to go for a overall body checkup, once test came out fine,it should ease ur mind a bit,and then tackle the anxiety problem probably talk with a therapist, cbt etc..

Well i don't know if one night on Zyprexa makes a difference but today the horrible churning in my stomach and the shakes were gone.  I am still anxious but at least i have been able to eat.  I lost so much weight because of the sick feeling constantly.  I am still taking the Alprax because until i get a clear result from my health worry i know i will still panic.  Does anyone have any good methods for settling a panic attack because when i get them i cant move and i am scared to go out in public in case it happens to me
