GAD stands for Generalized Anxiety Disorder, not "EATING" disorder.
Are you sure you're on the right forum?
Many of your symptoms COULD be related to digestive/intestianl problems rather than "eating disorders," which we commonly think of as anorexia or bulimia The dry heaving, the nauses, the sharp pains in your chest and especially your abdomen and the loss of appetite. These are not the usual syptoms of anxiety, but as with everyting else, we all experience anxiety differently. You just don't mention ANY of the most common symptoms of anxiety,
Migraines are not considered a classic symptom of anxiety, but migraines, in MY persoanl experiece, can lead to an anxeity attack. (I say that not because I believe the migraine is CAUSING the attack, it's MY fear of migraines that does it to me)
I think you need to clarify with your doctor EXACTLY what he has diagnosed you with. Personally it sounds to me like you need to see a gastroenterologist to rule out a numger of conditions which could be causing your symptoms. But that is just my totally non-medical opinion.
Please write us again after having spoken with your doctor. If you do, indeed, have GAD, we can offer you some sound advice. Eating disorders, not so much. But there are forums here you might want to check out about eating disorders and see if your symptoms are consistant with what those folks deal with.
Sorry to send you away somewhat empty handed, but until with have a clear dx, we are at a bit of an impasse.
Please post again. We are not dissing you!
Peace
