Norco, promethazine, klonopin, drug interaction?

Quick question,
due to anxiety I have been suffering from headaches. I was given hydrocodone (Norco) along with promethazine (anti nuasea), just in case if they get too bad. I am going to a chiropractor as well as a massage thearapist. I am taking advil when needed.
Could there be a negative drug interaction with klonopin, Norco and promethazine?
Thanks,
Mary

Well, that is good to hear!

Have you tried anything else besides the Phenergan for the nausea?  There are quite a few other options, and you may want to discuss that with your doc if you continue to have a need for an antiemetic.  Hopefully that will resolve.

Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks for the info.
I don't take Norco on a regular basis. I have taken it once in the past due to a severe headache. I do take promethazine at times though. I have talked to my doctor and she said it was okay just as long as I don't take everything together. She did say that they are CNS depressants.
I refuse to take Norco unless I'm in intolerable pain. Hopefully it won't come to that.
Thank you for your insight.

Good thing you inquired about this...and Ryan is absolutely right...consult your pharmacist about this...and if ONE doc prescribed all of these meds together, you may want to ask why?  And just possibly find a new doctor all together.

The symptoms you explain could be a few things.  If you abruptly stopped the Norco after being on it for a while, you are at risk for withdrawls...which will vary in severity and the type of symptoms.

I would definitely inquire with the Pharmacist on how you should proceed....it may be tricky b/c tapering might be completely contraindicated in the case of the Norco (with the other meds).

Hope you're feeling better soon...once you get the Klonopin regulated, you should notice quite an improvement.

Thank you for the info, I had no idea.
I just took .25 mg last night. I woke up at around 4am with nuasea and a slight burning sensation on my arms and face. I am pretty sure I know what caused the nuasea, but the burning sensation?
I have read the side affects and of course none of which I am experiencing are on the list.
I at times also have a pounding heart (not sure if you consider it racing), and I know that a racing heart can be a serious side effect of klonopin. How do I know if it is the meds or just me?
Thank you Ryan.
