OCD / Anxiety

I believe I have OCD mixed with Anxiety/Panic Attacks. My doctor put me on Pro Zac and Ativan for a week. He only gave me a weeks worth of Ativan and told me to just go with the Pro Zac. What should I request? Should I drop Pro Zac and go with Ativan? Go with both? Neither, and go with Klonopin? I don't feel the Pro Zac is doing anything and I feel like the Ativan was helping. Thanks.

Actually Prozac a.k.a Fluxotine (spelling?) is an SSRI which is known to work well in treating OCD symptoms and Depression. I would at least stay on it two weeks as that is how long it takes for it to build up and create an effect. Also if it does not work make sure you don't just stop taking it as there can be with-drawl due to the long half-life. I was on Prozac for at least four years just incase your wondering where I get my info. Good Luck!

I wouldn't go with either...Prozac isn't really the correct medication for that combo of problems. You need an SSRI like Zoloft or Paxil.
