To help you with the breathing problem, do the anulom vilom pranayam, I have described below. When you can do anulom vilom for 20 minutes or more, review your medication. You will notice the benefit gradually.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Anulom Vilom –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 15 to 30 minutes twice a day.
Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.
My comment isn't on prozac per se. It's about medication. If you're not feeling anxious, and if your life isn't severely disrupted, my opinion is it isn't time for any med. For that specific problem I'd see my doc to get a diagnosis if there is one, and if I thought it was anxiety, I'd go see a therapist. If I wasn't feeling anxious but just had this physiological sensation, I'd probably learn some breathing exercises -- you may just be breathing too shallowly and need to learn how to breathe properly. Don't be so quick to take a pill for everything unless you really need it. Just my two cents worth.
