Physical Symptoms of Anxiety

Does anyone out there suffer daily from physical symptoms of anxiety and if so what are they? I have been suffering daily for almost 2 years now from what seem like neurological symptoms. All my symptoms come and go throughout the day without rhyme or reason. I've been screened for MS and had many tests, MRIs and bloodwork that all comes back normal. They are thinking that all of this is caused by anxiety/GAD. The odd thing is that I don't feel anxious all the time. I can be relaxing or having fun and the pains come and go at random. At times my vision, balance and swallowing are affected as well. Does any of this sound like anxiety? Does anxiety cause pain in your limbs or tingling/numbness/weakness? Intermittent cloudy vision or the feeling of a lump in your throat? I'm at a loss at this point. The doctors do not seem to have any answers.

I've been concerned about MS as my grandfather had it. My neurologist and GP referred me to a therapist since they weren't able to come up with any solid explanation for all my symptoms. I left my husband 4 years ago and am raising a 4-year old on my own so they feel this could all be caused by stress and/or anxiety. I was prescribed Celexa which I only took twice but had to stop due to a severe reaction to it. My sister had to take me to the ER as I was burning head to toe, had a terrible stomache pain, was extremely dizzy and had trouble walking, talking and breathing. I literally thought I was dying! That was about a year or so ago. I am terrified to try any other medication and I haven't been back to the therapist. Obviously there is some stress in my life but I really don't feel anxious or stressed all the time. Like I mentioned in my previous post I can be having fun, feeling stress-free and these symptoms will still come and go multiple times throughout the day. I could somewhat understand if they appeared during a stressful event but that doesn't seem to be the case. Some days are better than others but I can't remember the last time I had an entire day symptom-free. I just want to feel like my old self again :(

Hello,  I too have very "physical" anxiety, I am 26 and sometimes I only know that I am having anxiety from the physical symptoms, I have heart palpitations, irregular heartbeats and hot flashes, dizziness ,headaches, loss of apetite, high blood presure and heart rate, and diareah... ***** but taking my mediactions actually makes them disapear within and hour usually! I too have been checked for Ms because my mom has it but this severe physcal signs of anxiety are very present in my family and extended family. My doctor said it was bad when the anxiety effects your body, you shoudl try some different types of medications just be smart about them and listen to other people. If you notice yourself acting different or your family and friends do talk with your doctor you might need to try a different brand these medications can be dangerouse if you aren't keeping a close eye on the way they make you feel or act!
