Proper Dosage of Klonopin for Panic Disorder

I tried 0.25mg of Klonopin a few times.  Seemed ok but nowhere near as panic free as I needed to be.  What's a good dosage?  Would 0.50mg make a significant difference?

First and foremost, never change your dosage without consulting a doctor... that is the only person who really knows what is best for you.  That being said, I have been on Klonopin for about a year now, and recently went from .05 mg to .10mg (twice a day).  This helped me, and a bit of a higher dosage may benefit you as well.  See your doctor about it.

Like Crystal said, this isn't something you can just decide for yourself, and not something we could ever answer, one because we're not permitted to give specific dosing recommendations, and also, because everyone is different.  What would be a "good" dose for you, might be too much, or not enough for someone else.

Contact your doctor and explain that your panic needs better managed.  Also keep in  mind, that because Klonopin builds up in the plasma, it is better suited as a medication that is taken reguarly, verus "as needed".

Good luck, let us know how you're doing!

Agree with others.  Klonopin is all I am able to tolerate after anal cancer treatment damaged colon.

I meet with my pdoc regularly to make sure I am doing well on current dosage.

I take it regularly.  Not on a 'as needed' basis ever!

Best of luck....
