Recovery time

Hello everyone, just so everyone knows I have a post in the Hepatitis B forum as well because my doctor says my symptoms are related to stress and anxiety from freaking myself out for 3 months all day every day thinking I had HIV but im having a hard time believing that my symptoms are related only to stress and anxiety. so heres the post from the hepatitis forum so you can get an idea of where im at.

"Hello everyone, about 4 months ago I met up with a girl I had just met, I thought she was on her period so I didn't bring any condoms, she wanted to have sex and said she was over her period but because I didn't know her and didn't bring a condom we didn't have sex. We did however French kiss for a few hours and I fingered her for about 10 minutes then she gave me unprotected oral. I never noticed any blood in her mouth but who knows. after about a week I felt a little fatigued but nothing crazy then after that I started getting worried thinking it was HIV so I got tested at my local clinic for Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, and HIV...... all negative. Since my main worry was HIV I got tested all the way out to 85 days using the 4th gen DUO test and ended up negative so I ruled that out. Throughout the 3 months I had symptoms of weight loss, fatigue, muscle aches, daily diarrhea, stomach upset, and general malaise. my doctor said that he thinks my symptoms are stress and anxiety related but these symptoms are real, I am still experiencing fatigue and daily diarrhea as well as general malaise and muscle aches, also I have recently noticed I am itchy all over and have yellow skin on my left knee but nowhere else, my doctor ran full blood test and said everything looked fine. How much risk was involved with my exposure and do my symptoms seem like Hepatitis B or any other Hepatitis Strain?"

So that's the story.... my question is if my doctor is right then why am I still feeling "symptoms"? how long after a stressful 3 months of obsessing and extreme anxiety would it take for these symptoms to subside if they were in fact related to only anxiety?

Thank you

It depends -- first, the fact you got that anxious shows you are probably prone to anxiety.  A long bout of anxiety can become chronic, and the fact you're posting here despite getting a clean bill of health from someone who has tested you by asking people on the internet who haven't tested you and aren't doctors shows the anxiety is continuing.  If it's continuing, yeah, the symptoms will continue.  What do you do to clear your mind of worrying?  Did your doctor test you for other things unrelated to sexual diseases, which you don't have, such as fibromyalgia or a chronic yeast infection, just to mention two things.  What have you done to treat the anxiety?  Do you exercise, meditate, do breathing exercises, see a therapist, for example.

And, are you drinking plenty of fluids -- the diarrhea lasting this long can be leaving you dehydrated and drained of electrolytes.
im drinking lots of water.
Water is great, but what are you doing for electrolytes?
