Should I switch back to Prozac?

I have recently switched from Prozac to Wellbutrin, in the hope that i will loose the weight i have put on while i was on Prozac. It has been about 6 or 7 weeks and i was doing well with the switch and the side effects. BUT, since about a week, i have been feeling so miserable...headaches all the time, the dizziness and the brain shifting thing that is going on brought on so many panic attacks...not full blown attacks, but enough to scare me again and make me unsure about the whole switching the meds.
I don't know if Wellbutrin is causing this and if, should i switch back to Prozac?
Will Prozac work the same way as it did before after six weeks or will it be diff. this time?
I still have some Prozac left over, should I just slowly start Prozac again and reduce the wellbutrin... slowly of course as this is not my first time doing this....but i don't have an appointment with my doc. until next month 26.th and i don't know if i want to weight that long!!!
Please share your opinion with me!!!!!

thank you so much for your advice. i have to say that switching my meds for weight reasons was not my best choice. I should have stayed with Prozac, other then the enormous weight gain i had no sexual side effects or other problems with it. I was worried about my health with all that weight gain BUT the Wellbutrin does not work for me as an appetite suppressant  or as an stimulant, so really i'm right there with this med where i have been with Prozac, except with more anxiety and very frequent panic attacks....
I do believe so too that this could be from Prozac being out of my system and my panic attacks are now showing through as Wellbutring is not for Panic attacks as stated by Paxiled.
I will however call my doctor Monday and see if i can get an over the phone consultation at least, as suggested  by nursegirl....to see what i should do. i honestly don't want to experiment around with other meds when prozac works for me BUT will it work the same way for me again as it did the first time...that is my most fear now that it might not work.

Don't know for sure obviously what's happening, but Prozac, unlike other ssris, takes a long time to leave the body.  You may be having a delayed withdrawal to quitting it, or a delayed reaction to stopping something that was working.  Wellbutrin can be very stimulating and isn't usually used where anxiety is a major factor.  What might have been an alternative some psychiatrists do is to add a small dose of Wellbutrin to an ssri to counter sexual and weight effects, not replace the ssri.  Just things to discuss with your psychiatrist.

First of all, make no decisions and do not alter your med regimen without first discussing it with your doctor.  Even if it requires a phone call, asking for an earlier appt or a brief phone consultation.  Personally, I would give ANY new med at least 2 full months before making any decisions or changes.  For some people, it can take that long.  If you still are having the same issues, then, yes, I think it is reasonable to try Prozac again.

The only other thing is...you said you WERE doing well on the Wellbutrin initially. How long after you started it did you see improvements?  Perhaps you need to consider a dosage increase of that first before switching all together.

Again, all things to discuss with your doc.  Hang in there.
